ILAM -- Managing director of power company for Western Iranian regions, Houshang Falahatian, has said concurrent with president, Mohammad Khatami's visit, 10 major power projects will come on stream in Ilam province.

Falahatian said the projects include five new 63-Kilovolt power posts, two 132-Kilovolt power posts and three 63 to 230-Kilovolt power posts.

He said the projects were implemented at a cost of Rls41.575 billion.

The official added that operations will also be launched to construct three new 132-kilovolt and 63-kilovolt power generation stations in Ilam. He said about Rls37 billion in credit has been earmarked for the three projects.
